Pentacam Corneal Topography

OCULUS Pentacam® is the gold standard diagnostic tool for anterior segment tomography. It uses Scheimpflug technology to capture images in 2 seconds. The Belin/Ambrósio Enhanced Ectasia Display supports you in the early detection of corneal ectasia. Pentacam measures the cornea with great precision and ensures reliable planning for refractive surgeries, corneal collagen cross-linking, and corneal transplants.

Heidelberg Spectralis OCT

The SPECTRALIS^® is a multimodal imaging platform optimized for the posterior segment. It is the most advanced system for imaging the retina and choroid. The various modules like Enhanced Depth Imaging (EDI) for visualising the choroid, Blue-peak Autofluorescence (BAF) to know the retinal pigment epithelial function are path-breaking technologies which have caused a paradigm shift in the management of retinal diseases.

Optical Biometry

Haag-Streit Lenstar LS900, an optical biometer which provides highly accurate laser optic measurements for every section of the eye from the cornea to the retina, is the first optical biometer that can measure the thickness of the crystalline lens. Optical biometer obtains accurate eyeball measurements, which are used to calculate the power of the intra-ocular lens (IOL) implanted in cataract surgery. At MEC we utilise the Lenstar Biometry system for all cataract surgery packages even for the free camp cases, because we believe in delivering the best visual outcomes for every patient.

Constellation Vision System is the gold standard in vitreoretinal surgery platforms. It is a sophisticated surgical platform which has revolutionised the way vitreoretinal surgery is performed. From IOP control to surgeon-regulated duty cycle the machine has impressive capabilities aiding the surgeon in performing safe vitreo-retinal surgeries.

iCare Tonometry

iCare is the first rebound tonometer introduced to the world. It is handy in clinics for adult and pediatric intraocular pressure (IOP) measurements and for glaucoma screenings in outreach programs. Requiring no drops or specialized training makes IOP measuring quick and easy for screening programs.

Octopus Perimetry

Octopus 600, a perimeter that combines both fast screening with the novel pulsar stimulus and standard white-on-white perimetry for follow-up. The instrument is capable of covering the most important stages of disease progression, allowing both for early diagnosis and follow-up. This Swiss tech enables fast screening of glaucoma patients and to detect neurological field defects with greater accuracy.

Fluorescein Angiography

Fluorescein Angiography is a diagnostic test that uses a special dye (sodium fluorescein) and camera to look at blood flow in the retina and choroid. The dye is injected into the blood vessel and serial images are taken using a special camera. Absence of blood flow/ leakage of dye and other retinal abnormalities are detected using this test.
